RenLUG (Renaissance LEGO® User Group) is a community of adult LEGO fans who display individual builds, collaborate on creative builds, support public events, and promote learning through play across Central Florida.
We welcome builders of all experience levels, educators, and volunteers who want to share their passion for LEGO in a positive and inclusive environment.
Who Can Join?
RenLUG membership is open to Adult Fans of LEGO® (AFOLs):
RenLUG welcomes adults (18+) who share a passion for LEGO® creativity and community, including:
- Builders of all skill levels, from casual hobbyists to advanced MOC designers
- Creators and makers who enjoy individual MOCs, collaborative builds, themed displays, digital design, and experimentation
- Community-minded collaborators who work well with others, communicate respectfully, and help maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Volunteers interested in community outreach, public exhibitions, workshops, and hands-on activities
- Educators, STEM & STEAM advocates, including teachers, engineers, artists, students, and lifelong learners
- Fans of LEGO® of every theme and genre — including trains, robotics, art, architecture, history, fantasy, sci-fi, space, pop culture, and original storytelling
- Supporters and enthusiasts — you don’t need to build constantly or own a large collection to belong
RenLUG values cooperation, respect, and inclusion. Membership is intended for those who contribute positively to the community and uphold these shared standards.
You don’t need to own massive collections or build competitively – just a love of LEGO and a willingness to participate respectfully in a shared community.
Youth & Teen Participation:
For Members with Children: RenLUG is primarily an adult LEGO® fan community. If you bring children to member events, not all activities are suitable for them, and parents or guardians must supervise minors at all times.
Family-Friendly Public Events: We also host workshops and exhibitions for builders of all ages. Many are perfect for younger LEGO enthusiasts! Check the full list under “Events & Meetings” or in our Facebook Group.

What Membership Involves

RenLUG Members may participate in:
- Monthly or regular meetups
- Public LEGO® displays and exhibitions
- Interactive build zones for kids and families
- Collaborative themed builds
- Planning and supporting future events
- Participating in parts drafts and group planning
- Social Field Trips & Casual Meetups: Visits to LEGO® Stores (Disney Springs, local stores, or exhibitions), group lunches, coffee meetups, and informal LEGO-themed outings
Participation is flexible – join the events that fit your schedule and interests.

Costs & Expectations
- Membership in RenLUG is FREE; there are no annual dues.
- Participation is based on creativity, collaboration, and community involvement — not financial contribution.
- We believe that community, creativity, and collaboration shouldn’t have a financial barrier, so everyone is welcome to join regardless of budget.
- Members may choose to purchase optional items such as a club shirt (~$15) and name badge (~$10), which help with identification at public events.
These items are not required to join — new members are encouraged to attend a few events first to ensure RenLUG is a good fit. - Club shirts and name badges are required for participation in LEGO® conventions and some large public events, per event guidelines.
- Travel, accommodation, food, and parking are the responsibility of the member.
By removing financial barriers to entry, RenLUG ensures that anyone with a passion for LEGO® creativity and learning can participate fully.
