Professional Societies

RenLUG is proud to partner with leading engineering and STEM organizations to deliver educational programming that inspires the next generation of innovators.

RenLUG is proud to partner with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI), the Florida Engineering Foundation (FEF), and Central Florida Engineers Week (Eweek) to support STEM and engineering education through LEGO®. Working with members of these professional societies, we develop and deliver hands-on workshops, interactive demonstrations, and educational challenges designed to ignite curiosity and foster understanding of engineering principles among students of all ages.

This collaborative initiative aims to inspire and educate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by leveraging the engaging and creative medium of LEGO®.

Through this partnership, RenLUG and its esteemed collaborators will develop and deliver a range of educational programs and activities. These will include hands-on workshops, interactive demonstrations, and educational challenges designed to ignite curiosity and foster a deep understanding of engineering principles among students of all ages.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) brings its extensive expertise in civil engineering to the table, ensuring that the programs are aligned with industry standards and practices. The Structural Engineering Institute (SEI), a division of ASCE, contributes its specialized knowledge in structural engineering, offering students insights into the design and analysis of structures. Meanwhile, the Florida Engineering Foundation (FEF) provides crucial support in the form of resources and funding, enabling the initiative to reach a wider audience and have a more significant impact.

By combining their strengths, these organizations aim to create a stimulating and supportive environment for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, utilizing LEGO® as a powerful tool to make learning both fun and effective. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to cultivating the next generation of engineers and innovators, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of STEM professions.
