Volunteer with RenLUG

Help bring LEGO® creativity, STEAM learning, and community engagement to Central Florida.

RenLUG volunteers support:

  • Public LEGO® displays and community events
  • Workshops, build zones and STEM activities
  • RenLUG Royal Rally Racing events
  • Setup, teardown, logistics, and administrative support

Bright Futures Hours:

Teens can earn Bright Futures–eligible volunteer hours for approved activities. Please indicate when signing up.

Volunteering is open to:

  • Members and non-members
  • Teens and adults (age-appropriate roles)
  • Individuals, families, and service groups

Supervision and role assignments vary by event to ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants.

Availability may vary by event. Please indicate Bright Futures participation when signing up.

Bring RenLUG to your school, library, festival, or organization.

We offer:

  • Interactive LEGO® displays and dioramas
  • Hands-on build zones and workshops
  • STEM-focused activities and demonstrations
  • RenLUG Royal Rally Racing – gravity-powered LEGO® racing fun

Royal Rally Racing Highlights:

  • Florida’s only LEGO® User Group–operated gravity racing program
  • Perfect for schools & STEM programs, scout packs, troops & councils, libraries & museums, community festivals & fairs, and corporate, nonprofit & private events
  • Participants design and race LEGO® cars while learning about engineering, physics, and teamwork
  • Volunteers and educators provide guidance for an inclusive experience

  • Monetary donations
  • Donations of LEGO® bricks and sets (new or gently used)
  • In-kind donations such as:
    • Storage bins or organizers

    • Printing, materials, or services

All donations directly support:

  • Community outreach
  • Educational programming
  • Event materials and logistics

LUG-to-LUG Collaboration

Collaboration, not competition, strengthens the LEGO® fan community.

RenLUG believes that LEGO® User Groups are strongest when we support one another. We welcome opportunities to collaborate with other LUGs in a spirit of cooperation, shared creativity, and mutual respect — not competition.

By working together, LUGs can expand outreach, share knowledge, and create experiences that are bigger, more inclusive, and more impactful than any single group could achieve alone.

Collaboration opportunities may include:

  • Shared or collaborative displays
  • Joint builds or themed exhibitions
  • Event staffing or volunteer support
  • Track, layout, or equipment sharing (when available)
  • Workshops, programs, or outreach partnerships
  • Knowledge, documentation, or best-practice sharing

All collaborations are considered on a case-by-case basis based on availability, logistics, and volunteer capacity.
